Rivers and Catchments
The group brings together researchers with a diverse range of interests, comprising fluvial geomorphologists, environmental geochemists, and catchment scientists. We aim to deliver leading research at a range of spatial and temporal scales within drainage basins. Our key themes cover long-term river histories, pollution and water quality (EU Water Framework Directive), floods, risk and management (physical, social, economic), integrated catchment approaches, agriculture/ forestry/fisheries and catchment sensitive farming/management, pathogen fluxes, sediment and macronutrient dynamics.
