Delving into the Iron Age World of Pen Llŷn
Led by Dr Kate Waddington and local archaeologist Rhys Mwyn, these bilingual, informal, interactive object-handling workshops will focus on the Iron Age objects excavated at the double ringwork enclosure of Meillionydd, located on Mynydd Rhiw.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to recognise and interpret Iron Age objects, and you will be offered training in the creation of 3D photographic models, which are increasingly being used by archaeologists and museums. The models that you create will be presented in the forthcoming digital exhibition of Meillionydd.
The events are open to all and no previous training or knowledge of archaeology is required. They are also suitable for children over the age of 8 (children must be accompanied by an adult). Booking is essential.
