Visit to the GRCME conference, Rutgers University New Jersey, Google and Datadog NYC
Prof. Rosalind Jones flew out to the Global Research Conference on Marketing and Entrepreneurship (GRCME) in August, hosted by Rutgers University, New Jersey. Roz was presented with a prestigious American Marketing Association (AMA) prize by the Entrepreneurial Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) with co-authors.
SIG Chair Prof. Stern O’Neill highlighted in the award ceremony that Roz was the first to be awarded this twice, previously in 2020. As a long- term member of the GRCME advisory board, Roz was invited onto the doctoral consortium professorial panel, advising budding doctoral students in their research.
Roz was also a discussant in a special session on ‘AI at the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Interface’, discussing AI concerns from a Journal Editors’ standpoint, as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship (JRME).
Roz also presented a paper co-authored with Liz Heyworth-Thomas on ‘Entrepreneurial marketing and commercialisation: scientific/engineering entrepreneurs’ based on an EPSRC PRF project with the Quantum Technology Hub, University of Birmingham.
The GRCME attendees also visited presentations with Lukman Ramsey, Head of AI & Education at their New York Google office and, Sara Varni CMO and Ben Shiffman Head of Programming, at Datadog a global data analytics company in NYC.
