Confucius Institute Holds Its Third Mandarin Summer School Online!
Bangor University's Confucius Institute concluded a one-week online Chinese language and culture summer school, held from the 24th to the 28th of July. This unique virtual program was designed to immerse participants in the wonders of Chinese language, culture, and traditions from the comfort of their own homes.
Throughout the week, students were treated to a well-rounded experience consisting of two engaging Mandarin lessons each day, coupled with an insightful Chinese culture lesson. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to work on individual projects that allowed them to delve deeper into areas of their interest.
On the culminating day of the summer school, participants showcased their hard work and dedication by presenting their projects. The enthusiasm and creativity exhibited in their presentations were truly commendable. To celebrate their achievements, an interactive three-round quiz was organised, highlighting the students' newfound knowledge and skills acquired over the course of the week.
The projects tackled an array of captivating topics, such as Chinese media, the intricate art of Chinese tea ceremonies, the allure of Chinese cinema, and the fascinating geography of China. Each project demonstrated a remarkable level of commitment and brilliance.
