Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrated at Our Lady's, David Hughes, Friars, Llannfechell and Esgob Morgan Schools!
Students at Our Lady's, David Hughes, Friars, Llannfechell and Esgob Morgan Schools recently celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, learning about the rich traditions behind this important cultural event. The festival, known for its focus on family, reunion, and gratitude, was introduced to students through engaging lessons on its history and significance in Chinese culture.
As part of the hands-on activities, students practised making paper mooncakes, a creative twist on the traditional mooncakes that are central to the festival's celebrations. This craft activity not only allowed them to explore their artistic skills but also helped them appreciate the cultural importance of sharing mooncakes with family and friends during the festival.
The celebration was a meaningful opportunity for students to learn, create, and connect with the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
