‘Discussing the factors driving anti-immigration vigilantism by the far-right in Lesvos’

This paper presents and discusses the findings relevant to the first research question of my PhD project (RQ1) What are the factors driving Anti-Immigration Vigilantism by the Far-Right in the Island of Lesvos?. These findings were produced by employing the method of qualitative content analysis to examine the propaganda found in the websites of two far-right organizations with an established presence in vigilante activities in Lesvos: The Free Citizens Municipal Party and the Golden Dawn.
Christina Galanaki is a 3rd year PhD student in Criminology and Criminal Justice in Bangor University. Christina's research focuses on far-right extremism, radicalization, hate crimes and terrorism. Her PhD project is on Anti-Immigration Vigilantism by the Far-Right at the National Borders: The case of Lesvos, Greece.
