We offer talks from business professionals and a range of workshops to enhance your employability, such as on enterprise, self-employment, networking, CV writing, and interview techniques. Our students can also gain recognition for building transferable skills by completing the Bangor Employability Award. These opportunities enable our graduates to enter a diverse range of career paths.

The Enactus programme supports students in engaging in social action and social enterprise, allowing you to work on an existing idea or to develop one of your own with support from our employability experts. We offer students various exciting opportunities to gain hands-on, business-related experience. Our students can participate in national competitions such as the IBM Business Challenge and 'The Pitch, a UK-wide Business Plan and Marketing challenge.

We encourage entrepreneurship, and in your third year, you can develop your business plan with your personal tutor's support. There are opportunities for incubation hubs to grow your business through our partner Menai Science Park. We also offer a range of workshops, mentorships, and graduate opportunities if you are interested in starting your own business.

On most courses, you can choose to undertake a Work Placement module where you will work in industry, applying the skills you've learnt in the classroom. Most of our courses also offer the opportunity to undertake a Work Placement Year, offering you a fantastic opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop valuable skills and contacts.

A degree in Business and Management will give you a strong business acumen and knowledge of management processes and practice, organisation theory and the global business environment. You can learn skills in leadership, communication, innovation, marketing, operations, HR management, strategy, new venture creation, financial and risk management, adapting to change and e-business.

During your studies, you will get to know our friendly and accessible lecturers well. Lecturers provide ample opportunities for personalised support, both in class and out. All our lecturers operate an ‘open door’ policy where students can book a meeting with academic staff where needed and run regular drop-in sessions for students to come along and ask questions.

You will receive regular pastoral support from your dedicated personal tutor when studying with us. Your personal tutor will help you make the most of your time at university by guiding on academic and personal matters, such as creating a study plan, making friends, and accessing our wide range of support services. When you arrive in Bangor, you will also be allocated a Peer Guide to help you settle in and make friends.
