The NWORTH team
We are a multi-disciplinary team that bring together skills and experience across all aspects of clinical trials. Here you can find our more about the roles and responsibilities of each functional group, and the individual team members based in each group.
The Statistics team feed into all steps of the clinical trial process. They work with the CI and research colleagues to develop the research question, calculate the sample size required, develop a robust study design, and determine appropriate outcome measures. They have important input into key trial documentation, including the protocol, statistical analysis plans and case report forms, and also support with the dissemination of trial results.

The Unit Management team coordinates the daily running of NWORTH CTU. The team oversees the operational, finance and HR management of the CTU, as well as governance, contractual arrangements and sponsorship. They ensure that the unit operates efficiently & to the highest standards.

Clinical Trials Portfolio Research Project Support Officer
The Trial Management team manage the daily conduct of the clinical trials managed by NWORTH, including trial management & administration, data management, pharmacovigilance and quality control. They work closely with the Chief Investigator, Sponsor, sites and CTU staff to ensure the protocol is adhered to and the trial delivers on time and to target.

The Information team deliver good-quality, validated computer systems that enable us to capture and clean data from various sources. The team also works closely with trial teams to support CRF entry, randomisation and other trial-specific applications. They design and test trial systems in collaboration with users, to ensure their needs are met.

The QA team provide specialist advice to NWORTH staff and trial teams, to ensure every trial is conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, policies and guidelines whilst maintaining NWORTH CTU's robust Quality Management System.

NWORTH Team structure
NWORTH staff are organised by functional group: Operations & Administration, Statistics, Trial Management, Information Systems, and Quality Assurance. Team members work closely with each other across the five groups, to provide multidisciplinary, cohesive support.
NWORTH is part of the North Wales Medical School, in the College of Medicine and Health.
