Christina Macaulay from the BBC Wales joins undergraduate film and media students
Christina Macaulay from the BBC joined first, second and third year film and media students to give a session on what broadcasters are looking for at BBC Cymru Wales and how to get industry experience.
Christina has been working as a Commissioning Editor at BBC Wales for many years and has been involved in bringing much loved documentaries and TV shows to our screens. During the session Christina talked about the IPlayer series Our Lives and what is involved in making such documentaries and how students could get involved such programmes. Giving the students real world example of how others have got into the industry and where there are current opportunities Christina brought with her a heap of in-valuable knowledge to our students.
Geraint Ellis, Senior Lecturer in Media said, "Visits such as these are extremely valuable to our students and we were very grateful to Christina Macaulay for the opportunity to learn more about BBC Cymru Wales commissioning, and also for sharing such useful advice about establishing careers in the creative industries. We look forward to continuing to welcome industry representatives to come and share their experiences and expertise in the future."
