Bangor Students To Perform at Gŵyl Tysilio Festival
Three Bangor University postgraduate students will be performing on Tuesday 9 July as part Gŵyl Tysilio Festival. The Telemann Trio will perform at St Tysilio’s Church on Church Island at 1pm.
The Telemann Trio is a newly founded chamber ensemble comprising of postgraduate Bangor University students, Alice Caldwell (Baroque recorders), Laura Linares (violin), and Anastasia Zaponidou (cello). In their recital at the Gŵyl Tysilio Festival, the ensemble will be exploring trio music of the 17th and early 18th century, including works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Arcangelo Corelli, and the beautiful yet rarely performed music of Isabella Leonarda.
The festival will also include a nature walk with Nigel Brown, the beloved former curator of Bangor University’s Treborth Botanical Gardens on Tuesday 9 July at 3pm and a host of musical, artistic and spiritual events across 6-14 July. For more information, visit Gŵyl Tysilio Festival 2024..
