Out and about with our students
Our students regularly go on placements as part of their course, but we also have lots of extracurricular activities that you can get involved in.
Our lecturer in Childhood and Youth studies Rhian Tomos recently visited students at Mudiad Meithrin in Llangefni with a group of students to learn about child developments. These types of experiences are key for students to learn firsthand the skills and knowledge that will be crucial in their future carer. Mudiad Meithrin is a registered charity that believes in providing children with enriching, effective and informative play and learning experiences.
As well as going out on placement and trips in Welcome Week this year the school held a team building day for year 1 students. Being on placement can sometimes feel as if you don't get to engage with your peers as much, having these type of events is an excellent way for you to you establish a support network within the School right from the moment you arrive and a great way to get to know your peers and the teaching team.
