Professor Lynn Hodgkinson honoured with the 2023 British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA)
Professor Lynn Hodgkinson has been honoured with the 2023 British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA). This is in recognition of Lynn’s contribution to the field of UK academic accounting and finance.
The LAA is presented annually to one or more individuals who have made a substantial and direct contribution to UK academic accounting and finance over the course of their careers. Recognising their contributions through research, teaching and/or public service.
Lynn said, “I left school at 16 and decided to take a chance at 23 and go to Plymouth Polytechnic. Six years later I moved to Bangor University where I have spent my academic life apart from one year. On receipt of my award, I said how lucky I consider myself as I could not have chosen a better career, which, in large part, is due to the people I've met along the way."
The award not only recognises Lynn’s past achievements but also signifies her ongoing contribution to excellence and innovation in the realms of accounting and finance.
