Tutor: Mathematics
Experience
Celestina Onohomen Audu has just joined the BUIC as a Mathematics Tutor. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the School of Education, Bangor University. Celestina holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Nigeria. A postgraduate degree in Applied Mathematics at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Due to her passion for finding solutions to problems in teaching and learning mathematics, Celestina went further to pursue a second postgraduate degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Benin.
Prior to the commencement of her PhD studies in 2021, Celestina has been a lecturer at the School of General Studies, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Nigeria, since 2004, where she lectures mathematics courses in various departments of the Polytechnic. She has served as coordinator and director of the School of General Studies. She is a researcher and educationist in mathematics. Her area of research is improving teaching strategies in the teaching and learning of mathematics. With the wealth of experience, she has acquired over the years, she is hoping to give all she can and contribute towards a robust academic learning experience for the students.
Interest
I love solving maths, acquiring new skills, listening to music, dancing, volunteering, taking photos, playing table tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
