Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence

Has your Bangor University team brought about significant positive change in practice for colleagues or students at an institutional or discipline level? If so, CELT wants to put you forward for a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE). This Advance HE award scheme  recognises and celebrates successful academic teams who have demonstrated an outstanding impact on teaching and learning by working in collaboration. Only one team can be nominated each year per HE institution.

We are yet to have a CATE winning team and are always on the lookout for a suitable high performing team to nominate for this prestigious prize.

  • Raise your team's national profile
  • Open doors to new collaborative or career opportunities
  • Link up with professionals who are similarly passionate about working in collaboration for teaching excellence across different disciplines, institutions and nations
  • Showcase Bangor University as an institution that is committed to demonstrating excellence in teaching and learning through collaborative approaches

To apply, teams must submit a 4,500-word claim setting out how they meet the eligibility criteria, demonstrating evidence of excellence in:

  • The team’s approach to working collaboratively, commensurate with their context and the opportunities afforded by it
  • Having a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning, including beyond their immediate academic or professional area

This needs to be accompanied with accompanying paperwork and a signed statement of support. Click here for further information on the CATE award scheme.
