Supported by Arts Council England, "The Empress and Me" first dazzled audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017, capturing hearts at Assembly George Square Studios. Its success echoed at the Adelaide Fringe in 2018, and now, after meticulous refinement, the production sets sail on a triumphant tour once again.
Commissioned by the talented British-born Chinese actress and producer Michelle Yim and crafted by the esteemed playwright Ross Ericson of Bloomsbury, this production skilfully intertwines history, culture, and emotion. Ericson's renowned works, such as "Casualties" and "The Unknown Soldier," testify to his mastery in storytelling, now immortalised by Methuen Drama, Bloomsbury.
