This short course has been designed to include:
- Workshops including health economics, working with non-academic partners, using the health inequalities assessment tool (HIAT), publishing, public and patient involvement, arts-based approaches, and impact.
- An opportunity to present your research
- Special guest speaker
- Career development session

Who is this course suitable for?
This summer school is aimed at Postgraduate and Early Career researchers in the field of health and social care.

Tutors
Dr Lorelei Jones
Dr Lorelei Jones is a Medical anthropologist interested in organisation, knowledge, professions and care practices.
Her research is on the social organisation of healthcare and her areas of expertise include:
• The quality and safety of hospital care
• Medical Leadership, innovation and organisational change
• Systems leadership, collaboration and integrated care
• Policy implementation and evaluation
Dr Jones' research is multidisciplinary and translational (theory into practice) working with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to develop healthcare professionals and services in North Wales and contribute to international learning. Lorelei is a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an executive member of the Society for Studies in Organising Healthcare, and a member of the Scientific Committee for the International Conference on Organisational Behaviour in Health Care.
Yr Athro/Prof. Ellen Stewart
Ellen is Professor of Public Policy & Health at the University of Glasgow, having previously been co-Director of the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Strathclyde, and Chancellor’s Fellow in the Centre for Biomedicine, Self & Society at the University of Edinburgh.
She currently leads research looking at contemporary charitable fundraising in the UK NHS, and in 2023 published How Britain Loves the NHS: Practices of Care and Contestation (Policy Press).
