Overview

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn ymdrin â sawl agwedd allweddol ar glefyd haematolegol ac opsiynau therapiwtig.

Bydd darlithoedd a sesiynau adolygu yn cyflwyno gwybodaeth fanwl a thrafodaeth ar faterion allweddol yn ymwneud â haematoleg glinigol. Bydd cysylltiadau â datblygiadau ac ymchwil arloesol yn cael eu hamlygu ac yn adlewyrchu sut mae patrymau clinigol a diagnostig wedi newid dros amser. Bydd y modiwl yn cynnwys darlithoedd ar falaenedd haematolegol ac anhwylderau anfalaen y system haematolegol.

Assessment Strategy

-threshold -Category D (40%-49%):A threshold student should have a basic knowledge of the essential facts and key concepts in haematology and blood transfusion presented in this module. Written answers should demonstrate an ability to organise relevant lecture material into a coherent argument.

-good -Category B (60%-69%):A good student should have a thorough factual knowledge across all aspects of the module, and be able to detail examples where appropriate. Written answers should demonstrate an ability to critically synthesise lecture material and information from background reading.

-excellent -Category A (70%-100%):An excellent student should be able to demonstrate the skills necessary for self-managed and lifelong learning (working independently, time management and organisation) and have a detailed in depth knowledge of all aspects of the module. Written answers should have an extremely high standard of presentation, structure and clarity with a very well argued and coverage of accurate and relevant information from lecture notes and significant background reading.

-another level-Category C (50%-59%):A C category student should have a correct understanding of the essential facts and key concepts in haematology and blood transfusion presented in this module. Written answers should demonstrate an ability to organise relevant lecture material into a coherent argument. The argument may reveal knowledge gaps. Context and explanation may be missing. No evidence of wider reading.
