Overview
Aspects of demand for tourism, including seasonality, elasticity and forecasting. Aspects of supply, including the cost structure of firms in the tourism sector. The financing of investment in tourism firms. Market structures, pricing and corporate strategy in tourism markets. Government interventions in tourism markets. The macroeconomics of tourism - contributions to employment and incomes - tourism satellite accounts. The role of tourism in economic growth, international trade and sustainable development.
