Overview
The module examines the theory and practice of corporate investment and financial decisions. Topics include: capital structure, dividend policy, efficient capital markets, agency theory, mergers and restructuring, foreign exchange and interest rate risk, ethical and sustainable finance Particular emphasis will be placed on topical areas within corporate governance and investments.

Description
Group work, 4-5 people in a group, 2,500 word limit. 5 questions. Analysis of a real-life corporate merger. Each group will be expected to submit a joint-authored 2,500 word assignment. Individual marks will be based on the mark for the group's assignment, moderated by peer-assessment.

A 2.5 hour exam with 30 MCQs, 2 numerical/discursive questions, and 4 essay-based questions of which the students need to choose 1.

10 by-weekly online tests (5 each semester), 10 MCQs each, 60% threshold needed to pass each one (1 mark each). Duration of each test – tests are available for full 7 days and there is no time limit to finish once opened, provided that they are submitted before the deadline (end of week).
