Learning Outcomes
- Analyse and discuss the social responsibility issues that banks need to consider when lending, using relevant ethical frameworks.
- Apply relevant concepts and techniques to make bank lending proposals including the analysis of financial and non-financial information, and the proposing of suitable security proposals.
- Evaluate different forms of lending based on their associated risks through the utilisation of relevant examples.
- Explain the purpose and process of financing in bank lending, using appropriate terminologies.

Description
Students will be required to assume the role of a commercial loan officer and explain the evaluation process that they will go through when preparing a bank proposal for a local/regional business. Students will be required to analyse quantitative and qualitative information relating the local/regional business to support their answer. The word limit for this task should not exceed 1500 words.

Description
Students will take an unseen one and a half-hour-long examination paper. The exam paper will consist of two sections. The first section will require students to explain and discuss relevant concepts. The second section will require students to review case studies and make various quantitative and qualitative analysis to answer questions.
