- Analyse and apply particular local or international banking law relating to banker-customer relations
- Define, classify and differentiate between customers based on their contractual relationship with the bank.

- Discuss basic types of contracts and interpret contract terms, including payment methods, discharging obligations and confidentiality.
- Interpret the relationships, requirements, characteristics and responsibilities of a bank from a legal prospective.

Description
Students will take an unseen two-hour-long examination paper. The paper will consist of two sections; the first will require students to review two short case studies and answer short questions that require the ability to analyse the problem in each case and apply relevant concepts. The second section will require students to answer an essay question, to demonstrate critical understanding of a relevant topic.

Description
Students will be expected to write a 1,500 words essay, discussing a particular topic related to central banks and regulation of the financial sector. Students are expected to demonstrate the ability to research a particular topic in depth and demonstrate critical thinking. Students should support answers with relevant examples/evidence from the literature.
