- Analyse the various Islamic financial market products in terms of their structure and Shari'ah compliance, taking into consideration the key aspects of risk management.
- Describe the features of the types on investment modes in the domain of Islamic investment banks to consequently analyse their effectiveness in meeting the needs of different customers.
- Discuss the operational structure of Islamic investment banks and the range of investment banking operations available, considering their impact on the market.
- Evaluate between the range and combination of Islamic nominate contract structures used as a foundation in Islamic investment banking products.

Description
Students will take a two-hour long examination paper. This paper will consists of two sections. The first section will require students to answer theoretical essay questions to measure the breadth of understanding of various concepts. The second section will require students to answer questions based on a case study or practical scenario on Islamic investment banking.

Description
Students will be assigned a group assignment where they must choose from several topics related to Islamic investment banking, and would then do research on the specific issue, which must be portrayed through a reflective essay of 3,500 words (+/- 10%). Marks in group assignments are allocated based on both individual contributions and the group's overall performance. Each member needs to specify their individual contribution to the project by identifying a specific task or responsibility that was carried out. The group's overall performance is assessed based on, among others: attainment of assignment objectives, flow between sections, overall presentation of the assignment, and the quality of references used. Group will be a maximum of 4 students.
