Overview
In this module, you will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable leadership and why it is important, as well as how to influence others to adopt sustainable practices. You will consider the impact of leadership decisions on the environment, society and the organisation's desired outcomes. You will learn how to manage change effectively, and use these skills to positively influence your colleagues to adopt sustainable practices in the workplace.
In this module, you will consider: .what is sustainable development in your context .why is it important to develop this sustainable mindsets for future generations .international and national goals for sustainable development .models and approaches required to successfully manage change
Assessment Strategy
Students at level 7 will have their work assessed based on the following criteria:
50% - 59% Pass - Students demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge, understanding and strategies to introduce sustainable practices in their setting. 60% - 69% Merit - Students demonstrate a good level of knowledge, understanding and strategies to introduce sustainable practices in their setting. 70% + Distinction - Students demonstrate an excellent level of knowledge, understanding and strategies to introduce sustainable practices in their setting
Learning Outcomes
- Assess and investigate sustainable leadership practices that are economically, socially and environmentally just and ethical.
- Critically evaluate theories of change management to best implement sustainable practices.

Description
Students will prepare a PowerPoint presentation equivalent to 1000 words using no more than eight slides to address the two learning outcomes. This presentation may be used by students in their own setting as part of communicating the change around sustainability to their colleagues and management teams.
