The disciplines of data analytics and geospatial analysis support a broad range of topics that require data integration, maps and the analysis of their spatiotemporal dynamics.
We apply models, remote sensing and data based methods to topics such as quantifying and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, environmental pollution, environmental valuation and river hydrology. Remote sensing information involves Earth observation methods such as images and laser scanners onboard satellites or airplanes that can be useful to monitor earth processes in the Anthropocene.
Research on data analytics and geospatial analysis cuts across the other research themes with frequent collaboration with other researchers.
