Scientific first: Thresher sharks hunt with their tails

Scientists at the School of Ocean Sciences at Bangor, working in the Philipines have discovered that thresher sharks employed tail-slaps to stun sardines. Tail-slaps occur with such force that the pressure wave can kill the fish.
