This Workshop

The objective of this workshop is to celebrate the Institute of European Finance (IEF) 50-years contribution to research in banking, finance, and economics.  Since its foundation in 1973, the research centre has been a thought-leader and contributed cutting-edge research that has had a real impact on the banking and finance industries. This workshop will gather scholars and practitioners, including both young and experienced researchers, to present current research that look to address current issues and challenges facing the banking and financial sectors. 

This workshop will also be an opportunity to celebrate and commemorate the work of Emeritus Professor Phil Molyneux who has made significant contributions to the IEF and the field of banking and economics.

About Us

The Institute of European Finance conducts topical and innovative academic research in banking, finance, accounting, and data analytics. Drawing on the wide experience of our core and associate members, the Centre offers expert analysis of current issues and challenges facing the banking and financial sectors. The Centre works with multilateral organisations, national governments, regulatory authorities, and public and private financial institutions to promote evidence-based policy decisions, competitiveness within the industry, economic growth, and to achieving more inclusive economies and societies.

Call for Papers

The workshop will consider presentations on topics relating to banking, economics, finance, accounting, governance, credit risk, financial innovation, data analytics, AI, technology, asset management, and other topics relevant to banking and economics will also be welcomed.
