This has been made possible as a result of £86,500 in gifts accumulated during the pandemic.
The Alumni Bangor Fund Postgraduate Scholarships will fund two students from each of the University’ three Colleges as well as one specifically through the medium of Welsh.
The scholarships are designed to celebrate those who have attained a high level of academic excellence in their studies and who have also enriched the Bangor student experience during their first and/or second years of registration as postgraduate researchers.

School of Computer Science and Engineering: ‘Talk Design Live @ Bangor’ will be a symposium and conference style event on 27 May. Organised by the Product Design course, the event will bring sector leaders, innovators, and expert practitioners within the field of design, manufacturing, and innovation to share what they do and how they do it.
School of Environmental and Natural Sciences : Eight travel bursaries for second year BSc students to visit Hungary to participate in expeditions as part of their thesis project researching how diet and predation threat influence the venom evolution of snakes.
School of Medical and Health Sciences: Travel grants for Midwifery undergraduate students to access elective placements abroad or elsewhere in the UK.
