09/22 Know Your Numbers
Many thanks to those of you who took the time to attend the Know Your Numbers blood pressure event.
Michele Lake, the Staff Occupational Health Practitioner reports that 86 staff members came to the Management Centre for a free blood pressure check:
“The response from colleagues was very positive - we appreciated the feedback that we received, and it was great to have the support of colleagues from the School of Human and Behavioural Sciences.
“Particular thanks to Jonathan Moore, Michiel Ewalts, Guto Hughes, Alex Friend and Aamer Sandoo who gave their time to providing the consultations alongside me. We also really appreciated all the staff at the Management Centre, especially Ron and Sarah who set us up with all the practicalities and space that helped the event run smoothly.”
If you were unable to attend the know your numbers event and would like to have your blood pressure checked you can make an appointment with Michele by contacting her on m.lake@bangor.ac.uk
We look forward to offering other health promotion events in the coming months and would welcome input and support from colleagues across Schools and Directorates if you would like to be involved in delivering these – please get in touch with Anna Quinn, Health and Wellbeing Project Manager.
