To mark LGBTQ+ History Month, Philosophy, Ethics and Religion at Bangor University in collaboration with the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales held a free online interview with the Rev. Sarah Jones, which was extremely insightful and inspirational.
The Rev. Sarah Jones discussed her background, her story following her ordination and the various responses to her being a trans member of the Church of England. Following that, the Rev. Jones discussed her many significant projects which aim to aid people and promote equality, justice and care within society.
Commenting on the event, Dr Gareth Evans-Jones, lecturer of Philosophy and Religion and co-director of the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales, said, 'I feel extremely hubled to have had the opportunity of interviewing Sarah and of getting to know her better. I have referred to her many times in several of my modules, so it was a priceless experience to engage in dialogue with her, and hear more about her vision for society and the challenges we are facing.'
This was a significant discussion and an excellent celebration for LGBTQ+ History Month.
