The Inspirational Story of the Rev. Sarah Jones
The first openly trans vicar in the Church of England (LGBTQ+ History Month)
Philosophy, Ethics and Religion at Bangor University in collaboration with the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales will be talking to the Rev. Sarah Jones in a special event to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month.
The Rev. Sarah Jones is a leading figure within the LGBTQ+ community and has made significant contributions in the fields of society, religion and inclusion. Sarah was the first trans vicar to be ordained by the Church of England, which is a significant event in the history of modern Christianity in Britain, and with that, has been awarded several awards for her work.
Monday evening, 26th of February, Dr Gareth Evans-Jones, lecturer of Philosophy and Religion at Bangor University and the co-director of the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales will be holding this session with Sarah, which will be free to attend and streamed via Zoom.
