The Bangor University Legal Advice Clinic (BULAC) was launched in the summer of 2024, with the doors officially opening in the autumn. BULAC provides free legal advice to members of the public (and staff and students). All advice is given by final year law students at Bangor University, supervised by qualified solicitors. BULAC aims to combine the need for access to justice within the local area, and to continue to connect the University to the local community whilst providing exceptional clinical legal education to our students.
This is such a unique opportunity for students to develop practical experience alongside their studies so as to equip them skilfully for their next steps after graduation.
The Clinic is directed by Tracey Horton, who is an experienced solicitor and a Senior Lecturer in Law, and has a stellar history of successful law clinics. Alongside Tracey, Lois Nash, Lecturer in Law, will be assisting, especially with the Welsh-medium side of implementation.
If you would like to access BULAC for free legal advice, please see the BULAC webpage for further information.
Also on the above webpage, students working with the Law Clinic will be sharing blogs on a regular basis, reflecting on their experience and their development as legal advisors.
To book an appointment, please e-mail Bulac@bangor.ac.uk or call 01248 388411.
