Teresa's significant book made open access
Congratulations to Dr Teresa Crew, Senior Lecturer in Social Policy, for her significant book, The Intersections of a Working-Class Academic Identity: A Class Apart, being made open access!
The publishers of Teresa’s The Intersections of a Working-Class Academic Identity: A Class Apart applied to the Knowledge Unlatched Select Programme, which raises funds from the library community to make selected monographs open access, for funding to make this significant contribution to social scholarship available to all for free.
Commenting on this announcement, Teresa said, ‘I am thrilled that my second book, The Intersections of a Working-Class Academic Identity: A Class Apart, will be available as an open access publication and at an affordable price of £20. My book significantly advances the field of working-class academic studies by framing experiences through a lens of classism and providing an intersectional analysis of class in academia. I am incredibly proud of this work and its potential to drive positive change in the academic landscape.’
Alongside the free, open access e-book, The Intersections of a Working-Class Academic Identity: A Class Apart is also available to purchase as a print copy. Both will be published July 2024.
Congratulations, Teresa!
