We have an internationally recognized reputation in early childhood interventions, including those targeting healthy eating and physical literacy interventions such as the Dynamic Dudes; global child development, behaviour and mental health, through the work of the Centre for Evidence Based Early Intervention; and violence against children, such as the Irie Toolbox which has been rolled out nationally in Jamaica.
Our research into health-related decision-making has looked at the factors leading to lower Covid-19 vaccine uptake in coalfield regions; at the motivations of informal carers; and at the factors behind gambling problems.
Bangor University is also the home to the Centre for Mindfulness-based Research and Practice where research has helped to ensure that mindfulness interventions are delivered in an ever-growing range of settings with fidelity.
