Bangor University in top 50 of Center for World University Rankings

This league table does not ask institutions to submit data, but instead compiles the table giving consideration to four key areas: education, employability, faculty and research. The table ranks over 20,500 universities worldwide using 62 million outcome-based data points.

Bangor University performs particularly well for its size in the education and faculty areas, being represented among the top 200 globally, and just outside the top 250 respectively. These two areas focus on the academic success of a university’s alumni community and academic staff, by considering how many have received prestigious awards, medals, and prizes such as Nobel Prizes, Turing Awards, and Fields Medals, relative to a University's size.

The latest league table follows hard on the heels of another global league table, this time of university research. The 2023 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject considered data from 1,500 institutions worldwide, and around 160 universities in the UK. The University was placed in six tables.
