Bangor University Top 20 in the UK - National Student Survey
Bangor University is in the top 20 in the UK in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) results released by the Office for Students.
Bangor's position has improved to 19th, up 54 places compared with last year. In Wales, Bangor is 2nd behind Aberystwyth, up four places from last year.
Our University has achieved an 81% overall satisfaction rate, up 6% on last year and 5% above the UK sector average of 76%. The Welsh sector average is 77%.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oliver Turnbull, said: "The key purpose of the NSS is to provide student feedback to help us improve the experience for future students. Students graduating this year would have had a very different University experience as a result of the pandemic. So it’s terrific to see that Bangor has done so well. It’s also notable that, in the recent REF exercise, we were also placed second in Wales: demonstrating Bangor’s strength in two key areas of University aspiration.”
The NSS is conducted annually across universities in the UK and gathers opinions from final-year students about their time in higher education.
