I'm Roland Davies, the Senior International Recruitment Officer for East and Southern Africa, the Americas, and Sponsorships at Bangor University.
I'm proud to have been born in Bangor and grew up in nearby Anglesey (or Sir Fon as we say in Welsh) and have had a lifelong connection with the University: my dad had just started as a young academic at Bangor where he met my mum while she was doing her MA. My career in international education with the British Council has taken me to East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, where I've gained extensive experience in supporting UK universities, including Bangor. I'm thrilled to be back in Wales and contributing to Bangor University's global reach.
