Meet International Support Student Mentors

International Support is responsible for running our International Student Mentors scheme. The scheme is a volunteering project, and current International Students volunteer their time to support us in a whole host of events and activities - welcome week, trips and events, and the social programme, to name a few!

Do you want to be an International Support Student Mentors?

Are you an enthusiastic, friendly international student and would like to volunteer with the University’s International Student Support Office to help new and existing international students? Have you ever wanted to make a difference and be part of a team that celebrates diversity and works for a better university?

International Student Mentors are students who volunteer to play a key part in the support programme offered to international students studying in Bangor.

We will shortly be recruiting for International Student Mentors for the 2024-2025 academic year!

  • To be effective ambassadors for Bangor University by contributing to improving the Bangor Experience for new and existing students.
  • To play an important role in supporting Bangor social media efforts by fuelling exposure, engagement and referrals.
  • To provide enthusiastic, efficient and reliable support for a range of induction; welcome and year-round activities
  • To act as a point of contact for international applicants wishing to receive additional information about living and studying in Bangor.
