Bangor University’s Clubs & Societies placed second in WhatUni.com awards 2020
Bangor University has been awarded second place in the ‘Societies & Sport’ category of this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards. The University also came in the top four in the Giving Back category.
Nominations are made by students and recognise the excellent quality of the University’s higher education experience. They offer prospective students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems. This year’s shortlisting was based on over 41,000 student reviews from 150 universities across the UK.
Professor Oliver Turnbull, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said:
“Here at Bangor we are luckier than many other universities in that we have an amazing location, with a range of outdoor space on our doorstep. It’s one of the many things which makes Bangor so special. Congratulations to our enthusiastic Students’ Union, who work incredibly hard to make the student experience at Bangor University so special.”
The University was also shortlisted in the Postgraduate category and has been placed in the top ten of various categories of the WhatUni Student Choice Awards over the last few years.
