The guide which ranks the best universities in the UK, consists of nine indicators, gathering information on everything from student satisfaction to degree completion rates.
Notable areas of improvement included teaching quality which sees a climb of 48 places to 20th position and student experience with a rise of 39 places to 31st position. The University also climbed nine places in research quality to reach the top 40 after 85 per cent of our submission to the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) was assessed as world-leading or internationally excellent.
In Wales, Bangor stays in 4th position overall out of eight institutions. The University is ranked 2nd for research quality and 3rd for teaching quality and the wider student experience.
This latest success follows a strong performance in the National Student Survey (NSS) published in July, which saw Bangor's position improve by 54 places to 19th position in the U.K. and 2nd in Wales.
