Bangor University moves up in Complete University Guide
Bangor University has improved its position by 11 places in this year’s Complete University Guide (CUG). The University is ranked 52nd out of 130 universities in the UK and fourth in Wales.
Commenting on the results, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Oliver Turnbull, said;
League tables are a useful resource for would-be applicants, and it’s terrific we have again improved our ranking in the Complete University Guide league table this year. I’m proud of our continued growth, which reflects our commitment to providing a transformative experience for our students.
The CUG ranks universities on overall performance and within 74 individual subject areas.
The University’s REF performance is reflected in the Research Quality metric, increasing our quality profile and retaining a top 40 position (UK) and 2nd in Wales. Significant improvement was seen in the area of student satisfaction, rankings based on the NSS metric (average satisfaction scores from all questions in NSS Survey 2022) placed Bangor just outside the top 20, climbing 34 places to 22nd in the UK, and 3rd in Wales. Our ranking for facilities spend per student saw a climb of 16 places, reaching a top 10 position after increasing spend by 20% since the previous edition.
