The Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) is starting the year with the relaunch of its website, showcasing upcoming training events, fellowships and resources related to teaching and the support of learning. Professor Caroline Bowman is the interim Head of CELT, an academic team made up of Dr Ama Eyo, Dr Thandi Gilder, Dr Sarah Zylinski, Dr Dei Huws and Dr Rebecca Jones – the team is overseen by Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Nichola Callow (Education and Student Experience).
Professor Caroline Bowman said, “After the success of our conference in September, this is an exciting time for CELT. We are seeing excellent participation in our schemes which support the award of HEA Fellowship, and our continuous professional development workshops are providing opportunities for staff from all domains to build on their skills to innovate their practice and to enhance the student experience.
“Our website has had a make-over and it’s easier than ever to find out information about our courses, development programmes, awards and work on hot topics in higher education, such as inclusion and assessment. It’s an honour to work with the members of CELT whose expertise elevates teaching and learning within the University, and a real privilege to support staff from across the University as we drive pedagogical enhancement forward.”
