Law Academics Appointed as Consultant Editors of Prestigious Halsbury’s Laws
Dr Ama Eyo, Senior Lecturer in Public Procurement Law, and Mr Stephen Clear, Lecturer in Constitutional and Administrative Law, have both been appointed Consultant Editors of the highly prestigious Halsbury’s Laws of England. They will be taking responsibility for the inaugural Volume 85A on Procurement.
For over 100 years, the Halsbury’s titles have been considered the only comprehensive narrative statement of the law of England and Wales, containing law derived from every source. The collection is written by or in consultation with leading lawyers - both practitioners and academics, including barristers and members of King’s Counsel- ensuring the highest quality and dependability.
Consultant Editors for other volumes have included: leading planning silk Saira Kabir Sheikh KC; Deputy High Court Judge Professor David Ormerod KC CBE for Criminal Law; Constitutional Law Professor Rodger Masterman from Durham University; the UK’s leading authority on the law relating to COVID-19, barrister Adam Wagner of Doughty Street Chambers; Oxford University Professor Christopher Hodges on the Justice System; and leading Environmental Law expert Professor Richard Macrory of UCL.
Ama and Stephen take on the consultant editor role for the new volume at an exciting time in the development of Procurement Law, with the UK Parliament having now passed the new post-Brexit Procurement Act 2023.
