SHiLSS Employability Fair
On the 31st of January 2024, Lisa Sparkes, who is a PhD researcher in Criminology and a teaching member of the School arranged for an Employability Fair to take place in Pontio, specifically aimed at students of SHiLSS.
Reflecting on the event, Lisa commented: 'Organising an employment fair was a good opportunity for students to develop an understanding, not only of the positions available after graduation, but also the volunteering opportunities available whilst completing their degrees. The opportunity to complete a volunteering opportunity, develops skills such as communication, critical thinking, amongst other skills. Also, provides an update job skill for their ever-developing CVs preparing them for their futures following their academic journeys. We are hoping to organise another later this semester, so please watch this space!'
