The article addresses anti-Roma racism, a persistent issue across Europe, and critiques European integration policies over the past two decades. Focusing on the Czech Republic, it examines how civil society organizations (CSOs) both challenge and perpetuate racialized Roma exclusion. Using Bourdieu’s concept of social habitus, expanded into a racialized framework, the study combines online interviews and ethnographic research in four cities. It reveals how CSOs navigate this tension, contributing to a deeper understanding of race, racism, and the role of civil society in shaping social inclusion.
