As part of the internship, Bella will conduct a significant narrative interview with a homeless young person about their experience of homelessness. She will present the findings at a workshop in Poland in June which will be attended by six students from Bangor funded by the Bangor Fund and students from Germany and Poland.
After being appointed, Isabella said, "I am looking forward to working on the homelessness interview project, it will allow me to combine my academic background with my passion for social change. This project will not only allow me to contribute to important research but will also allow me the opportunity to learn from the experiences of those who have been directly affected by homelessness."
After completing her studies, Bella will be working for a local charity assisting young people affected by homelessness.
Bella’s work as an intern will be supervised by Dr Hefin Gwilym, Lecturer in Social Policy who said: "Congratulations to Bella on succeeding in a competitive interview process for this 80-hour paid internship in the School of History, Law and Social Sciences. This exciting opportunity will add considerably to her research skills and enhance her employability".
