Bangor Business School enters partnership with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment
Bangor Business School has entered into partnership with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
The agreement reflects how some of the Business School’s modules – notably in the areas of Banking and Finance – fulfil CISI’s professional expectations in the fields of securities, investment, wealth and financial planning.
As a result of the new partnership, students studying relevant modules will be eligible to sit one of the CISI examinations during the course of their studies, thereby attaining a professional qualification alongside their degree.
Professor John Ashton, who co-ordinates external professional relationships for Bangor Business School, remarked: “the ability for students undertaking our qualification to then move seamlessly to professional qualification provides great benefits for both employability and the professional development of our students.
“We are delighted to develop this on-going partnership over time”.
In a similar move, the School recently extended its existing accreditation by the Chartered Insurance Institute. A number of undergraduate degrees have already benefitted from CII accreditation for some years, including the BA and BSc degrees in Accounting & Finance, Banking & Finance and Accounting & Banking. Now, select postgraduate programmes – the MA, MBA and MSc in Finance, the MSc International Finance and the MSc Investment Management – will enjoy the same recognition.
