Clinical Legal Education
Thanks to a fantastic new partnership with Citizens Advices services and 30 law firms, Bangor Law students now have the opportunity to develop and use their legal knowledge in a real-life setting, making a tangible difference to people’s lives.
Over 60 students have signed up to the project with the North & Mid-Wales Law Clinic. They are trained in key areas such as family, community care and employment and their work is overseen by experts from legal firms.
This experience not only helps students to develop essential legal and people skills, but also gives them invaluable real-life experience that greatly improves their employability prospects in future.
Due to the pandemic, systems were put in place to ensure the clinic could function as a virtual law clinic, allowing students to participate regardless of where they live.
