Congratulations to Aelwyd John Morris-Jones!

Among the 500 competitors who managed to reach the grand stage of Pritchard-Jones Hall during Saturday's annual celebration of cerdd dant and traditional music were members of Aelwyd John Morris-Jones.  Gwyl Cerdd Dant Glannau Menai proved to be a marathon-like event which lasted until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Conducted by the talented Lois Eifion, an undergraduate student in the School of Music, they competed in both the Cerdd Dant Choir and Folk Choir categories.

Congratulations to all the members on their quality performances and for being such brilliant ambassadors for Bangor University in this important national festival!

Congratulations also to Catrin Robers who is studying BA Sociology and Iwan Wyn Williams who is studying BA Welsh & Music, Bangor University; for coming 3rd in the Cerdd Dant duet age group 16 - 21.
