Llŷr wins Drama Medal

Congratulations to Llŷr Titus Hughes of the School of Welsh, who has won the Drama Medal at the Urdd National Eisteddfod 2012.

This is the second consecutive year for Llŷr to win one of the major literary prizes at the Eisteddfod, as he won the Crown in 2011.

Llŷr Titus Hughes having received the Drama MedalLlŷr, who comes from Sarn, Pwllheli and is a former student of Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, has just completed his first year studying Welsh at Bangor University.

Gareth Evans-Jones who has just completed his third year studying Welsh and Religious Studies at Bangor came joint second in the same competition.

This is the third consecutive year for a student from the School of Welsh to win the Drama Medal. In 2011 it was won by Elin Gwyn and in 2010 by Manon Wyn Williams - both are currently studying for a PhD in the School of Welsh.
