Prof. Santiago Carbo-Valverde appointed as member of ESMA advisory group
Professor Santiago Carbo-Valverde has been appointed as a member of the Group of Economics Advisers (GEA) of ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority).
ESMA is an independent authority that exists to safeguard the stability of the European Union's financial system, and the GEA is the advisory board for its work on economic and financial stability analysis. The Group meets twice a year to exchange expertise and opinions, with the inaugural meeting of the new board set to take place in Paris on 2nd September 2014.
The newly-appointed Group also includes representatives from Goethe University, Frankfurt; Swiss Finance Institute; University of Rome III; NASDAQ; Investment Company Institute and Stockholm University.
